WELCOME in Vouvray sur Loir, in the Sarthe, pays de Loire!

In a wonderful landscape, near the Loire castles' in the Loire valley, we invite you to discover

the region in a calm atmosphere where you will find pleasure to fish.

We have created 2 cottages in our mill.

As an island, the mill and the two cottage are completely surrounded by water, we reach

to the estate through a XIIIth century stone bridge which pass over the races of the neighbour

 ‘Pousset’ mill.

On the other side of the island, the mill dam supplies water for the

'Martinet' and 'Saint Jacques' mill wheel.

The cottage ‘Le Brochet’ is installed on the second floor in the old building where lived the miller

which has been transformed for 2 to 4 guest.

The cottage is water surrounded by 2 races with a wonderful view on the ‘Loir’ river.

This cottage includes:

	- A living/dinning room in front of ‘Loir’ river. (other picture1 - other picture2)

	- A fully equipped kitchen (cooker, heaven, freezer, microwave)

	- A bath room with toilettes and shower

	- A bedroom in mezzanine (1 140 bed)

Equipments: living room equipped with a 140 sofa bed, TV.

The bed will be ready at your arrival.

gite 'Le sandre' (see availability)

The cottage ‘Le Sandre’ is installed on the second floor in the old building where lived the miller

which has been transformed for 2 to 3 persons.

The cottage is water surrounded by 2 races with a wonderful view on the ‘Pousset’ mill dam

and on the ‘Loir’ river.

This cottage includes:

	- A living/dinning room in front of ‘Loir’ river. (other picture)

	- A fully equipped kitchen (cooker, heaven, freezer, micro wave)

	- A bath room with toilettes and shower

	- A separated bedroom (1 140 bed)

Equipments: living room equipped with a 140 sofa bed, TV.

The bed will be ready at your arrival.

The pets are not accepted!

A large and a small terrace in front of the ‘Loir’ will allow you to enjoy the sun and the air in front

 of a beautiful landscape.

The site is equipped with a holding tank under the building, water is supplied by the race, then you

will be able to keep your alive fish and park your fishing equipment.

The ‘Château du Loir’ fishing association deliver the fishing license .

The 2 cottage are 2 kilometres far from Château du Loir (bakery, shop, butcher shop, bar, mail post,

supermarket). A very big market place holds on Saturday.

The mill and 2 cottages are part of a village of 850 people, Vouvray sur Loir, on the ‘Loir’ hillside,

at 250 km from Paris, 40 km from ‘Le Mans’ and 35Km from ‘Tours’ in the ‘Sarthe’ near ‘Indre et Loire’.

In the nearby, you could discover the famous ‘Loire valley’ well known for these castles such as

Amboise, Chenonceau, Azay le Rideau, Ussé, these vineyards such as Chinon, Saumur Champigny,

the ‘Le Mans’ city, famous for these 24 h race-car, these pates and his car museum.

The landscape is very green grassland and forest. Don’t be surprised to discover roe deer, red deer,

wild boar, rabbit, hare, as well as heron, duck, and a lot of bird.

The nearby forest and the country road will invite you to long walks in the calm. If you prefer,

you will do it by bike or horse. In the after season the weather is usually nice and warm.

For the “connoisseur” our forests are very rich in mushrooms.

During summer time, you could swim in the river, practice fishing or ornithology.

A archery site field is just in front of the estate. If you are hiker, the GR35 pass just near the mill.

The nearby leisure park ‘Marçon’ will enjoy your children.

For the fan of fishing, the site is ideal; it is surrounded by water in a very full of fish area.

You will be able to fish upstream and downstream the mill dam. Some restrictions are applied during

"les écourues"

Fish usually captured in the river: whitebait, pike, perch, pike perch …

Under your responsibility, a small boat could be available to go fishing in the small island in

front of the mill and belonging to the mill.
